Leading retailers at several Australian airports are installing security
doors and security shutters from The Australian Trellis Door Company (ATDC) to
help secure themselves against vandalism and theft.
The changing security landscape throughout the world has had its impact
even in Australia with Australian retailers facing new security risks. This demand
for increased security has seen retailers, especially at airports and other
public buildings across the country as well as in shopping centres, strip
retail shops, restaurants, clubs, hotels and gyms proactively investing in
different measures to protect their merchandise.
ATDC has installed an extensive range of retailer-friendly security
doors and security shutters at various airports across Australia including
Brisbane International, Melbourne Domestic and International, Sydney Domestic
and International, as well as Cairns, Perth, Gold Coast, Port Hedland and
Darwin International Airports.
Several leading retailers in Australia are relying on ATDC’s quality
range of security doors and security shutters to secure their retail
shopfronts. These include Purely Merino, Australian Way, RM Williams, Billabong,
News Travels, Quicksilver and Flight Centre among many more.
Global German-owned retailer, Heinemann was recently awarded the duty-free
concession at Sydney International Airport. The retailer has installed nearly
600 lineal metres of ATDC’s portable, expandable, rollaway security barriers/doors to secure its store; this installation also represents the single
largest contract ever awarded in Australia to date for portable security gates.
JR Duty Free also recently installed 60 lineal metres of ATDC’s top hung SO6 heavy duty trellis security door at its new store at Brisbane
Key features of ATDC’s security doors and security shutters include unique
design folding back to a mere 15% of full expanded width for storing out of
view during trading hours; can be supplied to meet compliance requirements for egress

curved apertures; and completely freestanding design of trackless barriers eliminating
any need for an overhead structure.
