Australian Pump Industries will be showcasing its 5,000 psi portable
diesel drive steam cleaner at the upcoming CivEnex Civil Engineering Equipment
show in May. Australia’s most extensive civil engineering field day, CivEnex is
held at the Sydney Dragway, Eastern Creek.
Australian Pump will be exhibiting the Aussie Hydrotek ‘Grease Buster’,
a breakthrough portable steam cleaner designed to enable easy servicing of big
items of plant in the field.
Australian Pump Product Manager, Hamish Lorenz explains that the 5,000
psi pump pressure combines with 130¡C steam to clean off equipment fast. The
portable steam cleaners are diesel powered and come on a heavy duty off-road
trailer with a 1,000-litre water capacity. The onboard water supply of the Hydrotek
5,000 model enables the machine to be completely independent.
Developed by Australian Pump Industries for mine sites where field
maintenance of big items of plant is essential but difficult, the Hydrotek hot
water steam cleaner, Model HSC50005D offers 5,000 psi pump pressure with 19 lpm
flow providing loads of grunt to clean the gear off quickly.
Key features of the Hydrotek 5,000 portable steam cleaners include infinitely
variable temperature controls from cold water to 130¡C steam; heavy duty
Beckett burner system designed for mobile applications exposed to dust and
moisture; Spiralast heating coil with lifetime warranty; and two Aussie
Hydrotek stainless steel hose reels.
While one hose reel stores 30 metres of high quality ¾” low pressure
supply hose to fill the on-board tank, the other rated to 5,000 psi can be
fitted with up to 75 metres of double wire braid high pressure hose enabling
the operator to move freely around a large plant for faster cleaning.
The steam cleaner is built into a 4.5 tonne GVM off-site, hot-dipped
galvanised road trailer fitted with tandem AL-KO 2.5 tonne IRS torsion tube
suspended axles, 15″ white spoke wheels with off-road, mud pattern, tyres and
checker plate mud guards, checker plate front and rear mounting decks, a heavy
duty landing leg, two stabiliser legs, and a 42-tonne hook and pintle military
style draw bar.
Australian Pump will be displaying the machine for the first time at the
CivEnex this year and working demonstrations will be carried out on plant in
the Allied plant demonstration area. Australian Pump is a member of the Allied
Earthmovers Association and works closely with the owner/operator members to
develop new products suitable for the earthmoving and construction industry.
The machines can be leased or bought from Australian Pump Industries or
Australian Pump Industries will be on Site No 323A
at the CivEnex with a wide range of trash pumps, pressure cleaners and
submersible pumps. The Civil Contractors Club will be a big feature of the
Aussie Pumps stand.
