Backplane Systems Technology releases Nuvo-5000 series Intel 6th Gen Core i7/i5/i3 rugged fanless PC

Backplane Systems Technology announces the release of a new fanless
embedded computer from Neousys Technology featuring state-of-the-art Intel 6th
Generation Core i7/i5/i3 processors (codename Skylake).

The new Nuvo-5000 series of rugged fanless PCs supports LGA1151,
socket-type CPUs to offer greater flexibility for CPU selection.

The Nuvo-5000 series features general I/O interfaces including up to six
Gigabit Ethernet ports, eight USB ports and VGA/DVI/DP triple display outputs; Neousys’
patented expansion cassette for easy accommodation of an off-the-shelf PCI/PCIe
card; and MezIO interface to deliver excellent versatility for a range of
applications.

Neousys’ proprietary MezIO interface provides computer signals, power
rails and control signals via a high-speed connector and is mechanically
reliable. By installing a standard or customised MezIO module, the Nuvo-5000 transforms
from a general embedded controller into an application platform with specific
I/O functions.

Featuring Neousys’ proven fanless architecture, the Nuvo-5000 offers
superior thermal reliability, even with an LGA-type CPU and supports a wide
operating temperature range from -25¡C (cold boot) to +70¡C (100% loading).

The Nuvo-5000 series fanless embedded computers have been designed for machine
vision platforms with multiple GigE/PoE ports; in-vehicle fanless PCs; surveillance/video
analytics computer systems; wide-temperature and rugged applications; and ultra
compact fanless controllers.
