CAA releases EXAIR’s new anti-static air gun

Compressed Air Australia announces the introduction of a new range of
anti static air guns from EXAIR.

Engineered to remove static electricity, contaminants and dust from
parts prior to labelling, assembly, packaging, painting or finishing, EXAIR’s
new Ion air gun has been independently tested to meet the rigorous safety,
health and environmental standards of the USA, European Union and Canada that
are required to attain the CE and UL marks.

The RoHS compliant Ion air guns feature a flexible 3m metal armoured
high voltage cable to protect against abrasion and cuts; a replaceable emitter
point; integrated ground connection; electromagnetic shielding; lightweight design
with a hanger hook for easy storage; and a new selectable voltage power supply.

Designed for quiet operation, the shockless Ion air gun neutralises
static electricity and cleans at distances up to 4.6m (15 feet). The air gun incorporates
a high velocity air jet that uses a small amount of compressed air to entrain
80 percent of the total output airflow from the surrounding room air. An
electrically energised emitter at the discharge end fills the entire airstream
with positive and negative ions capable of neutralising high static charges in
a fraction of a second. An optional regulator allows infinite adjustment of the
air volume and velocity while a comfortable grip and hand position allow hours
of continuous use without fatigue.

EXAIR’s Ion air gun finds
application in moulded parts cleaning, pre-paint dust removal, furniture
finishing and package cleaning prior to labelling or printing.
